Interests and SCA-related hobbies
Ullr Vindstygge changed his surname to Amaranthson prior to fighting in the Spring 2007 crown tournament. This was done to honor the lineage of his Knight Amaranth Wolfbane.
Ullr served as an Unbelted Champion for many years, and as Captain of the team for Pennsic in 2002. Immediately following the unbelted champions battle, Ullr was knighted on the field by Valharic and Alys Katharine.
Ullr is possibly best known for his fondness and fascination with Norse culture of the Viking era, a stickler for historic accuracy, and a passion for crafting. He enjoys discussing and teaching about Norse law, gambling, woodworking, and much more.
