The Shire of Dragonsmark is a SCA branch in the Oaken region of the Middle Kingdom. It covers central, Kentucky, centering on Lexington.

History
The shire was founded in 19??. The name Shire of Dragon's Mark was registered in October of 1982. The groups arms were passed in Decembe of 1983. "Azure, in pall a laurel wreath between an increscent, a decrescent, and a dragon dormant, all within a bordure argent"
Annual Events
Candlemas
The most famous annual Dragonsmark event is Candlemas, held annually in February. Candlemas is on of the largest tourney events in the Midrealm, regularly hosting more than 100 combatants.
Border Raids
The Shire co-sponsors Border Raids an annual interkingdom war with Meridies. The event rotate between two groups in Meridies and two groups in the Midrealm (Barony of the Flame and the Shire of Dragonsmark). Thus the Shire hosts Border Raids once every four years.
