About
Dragonsmark is a Shire in the South Oaken region of the Middle Kingdom. It covers central, Kentucky, centering on Lexington.

Heraldry History
The name Shire of Drangon's Mark was registered with the SCA College of Heralds in October of 1982.
The heraldic device was registered in December of 1983.

Annual Events
Candlemas
The most famous annual Dragonsmark event is Candlemas, held annually in February. Candlemas is on of the largest tourney events in the Midrealm, regularly hosting more than 100 combatants.
Border Raids
The Shire co-sponsors Border Raids an annual interkingdom war with Meridies. The event rotate between two groups in Meridies and two groups in the Midrealm (Barony of the Flame and the Shire of Dragonsmark). Thus the Shire hosts Border Raids once every four years.
