History
Previously a canton (November of 1971) of the Barony of Northwoods, Roaring Waste(s) was given Baronial Status on Sept. 23, 1995 during the reign of Brannos I and Rebekah I. Founding members of the canton were Baroness Gwynnyd of York (Carol Lynn), Lord Loptr (Jerry Hanrahan) and Sir Mrethton the Rotund (Michael Pindar). The barony has one active canton in the Downriver and Monroe county area named Brackendelve.
Heraldry History
The name Canton of the Roaring Wastes was registered with the SCA College of Heralds in October of 1982.
The heraldic device blazoned "Vert, a chalice within a laurel wreath between three suns Or." was registered in October of 1983.
