Canton

A canton is a subsidiary group of a Barony. The officers of a canton report to their respective Baronial officers. For example the Chronicler of the canton of Fuzzybunny would report to the Chronicler of the Barony of FluffierBunniez which it is a part of. A canton is otherwise very like an independant shire in it's organization and makeup.
