Pennsic Archery Champions

Every year at Pennsic there is a grueling archery competition between the best archers from either side of the War. The shoot typically lasts most of the day (around seven or eight hours!) In most cases, the tournament includes a Roving Range of ten very challenging targets, a Friend/Foe shoot, and a long distance clout. The targets and rules are agreed upon in the negotiations between the East and Middle Crowns and Their Archer Generals before the War. The team that wins the majority of the three shoots is awarded the War point.
Each side is allowed to select 30 team members and 10 alternates, for a total of 40 Champions. In the early years of the championship shoots, the team was chosen by the Royal Round or competition scores of the archer before the War. Now, the team is picked primarily at the War with a demonstration of their shooting during practices. To be chosen for the team is a high honor.

The following is a list of members of the Pennsic Archery Champions teams. The Archer Champions kingdom is listed after their name in parenthesis. Alternates are noted by the alt prefix. Alternates are chosen to take the place of regulars who could not attend, or could not complete all of the shoots. Alternates shoot along with the rest of the team.

Pennsic XLVI (2017)
This war, the Middle, East and Ealdormere were matched against AEthelmarc and Allies. The final score was 1 point for the Middle/East alliance and 2 points for AEthelmarc/Allies. This gave the War Point to AEthelmarc and allies.

This Pennsic returned to the Middle and Allies vs the East and Allies format. The East swept all three of a "Lord of the Rings" themed shoot, and was awarded the War point.
