Dependants are associates or formal students of Peers. Often this relationship is reprensented by a colored belt or even a formal contract of service stating requirements or goals the peer has set for them in a set time frame. Usually acceptance as a dependant comes with entrance into the peer's household group.

Formal dependants are typially organized as such:
Companions of the Laurel take Apprentices who wear green belts.
Compannions of the Chivalry take Squires who wear red belts.
Compaions of the Pelican take Proteges who wear yellow belts.
Companions of the Defense take Provosts who wear red collars(?)
