About
WealdLake is a Canton of the Barony of Northwoods in the Pentamere Region of the Middle Kingdom.
The Canton of WealdLake territory encompasses Livingston County in the state of Michigan, USA.

History
Achieved full status in A.S. 48 (2013 A.D.) after being Incipient for over 10 years.
So named because the original founding families live around Woodland Lake in Brighton, MI.
Heraldry History
The name was highly debated in the College of Heralds as to whether it should be spelled in the following ways: Weald Lake Wealdlake Weldlake Weld Lake
The heraldic paperwork went back and forth and in the final commentary on whether to approve the spelling Weldlake, several heralds said it should be spelled Wealdlake.
The Canton preferred Wealdlake and wore a red felt A pinned to their garb when they were made a real Canton, when the KSen filed the paperwork with the Kingdom it was spelled Wealdlake.

It Takes My Child to Raze a Village - an event focused on folks of all ages (especially children and youth) finding what they like to do in our Society
Herald's Pointe and Scribal Collegium - formerly annual event that now alternates with A Grand Tour that is focused on Heralds, Heraldry and Scribal Arts - the event is known for helping people register devices, training voice heralds, and calligraphy and illumination classes!
creation of Ale to the Victors - originally a North Woods VS Cynnabar event playing on the Rivalry between UofM and MSU with an Armored Combat Game of Soulle, a Tankard-full Rapier Combat tournament, Cheerleaders and Art with Ale given to the Victors (Beer/Root Beer/Ginger Ale) that was taken over by the Barony of North Woods/Riding of Hawkland Moor and changed significantly
A Grand Tour - held every other year (alternates with Herald's Pointe and Scribal Collegium dedicated to a specific geographical place & time centered around a thematic feast with classes related to the theme. Themes have included 14th Century Europe and The Ottoman Empire.
Medieval Threads - a celebration of Fibre Arts and Textiles!
