Castell Gwent was a Canton of the Barony of Red Spears in the North Oaken region, primarily located geographically around Tiffin, Ohio.

History
The Shire of Castell Gwent joined the Barony of Red Spears as a Canton and served the local group for Seneca and Wyandot counties.
In 2019 the Cantons of Castell Gwent and Oakford were absorbed into the Canton of Catteden, then in 2020 Catteden was dissolved and the three cantons formed households.
Heraldry History
The name Shire of Castell Gwent was registered with the SCA College of Heralds in April 2005.
The heraldic device was registered in April 2005.
The badge "(Fieldless) A panther rampant reguardant tail nowed vert incensed gules sustaining a wheat stalk vert." was registered in April 2006 and reblazoned to "(Fieldless) An ounce rampant reguardant tail nowed vert incensed gules sustaining a wheat stalk vert." in February of 2007.
