Meeting

A local group - shire, canton, barony, etc. meets periodically to discuss business relevant to the group (Some meet monthly, twice a month or weekly). How each individual group runs its regular meeting or meetings is up to that group, with very few provisions in Kingdom law dictating what can happen.

Many groups hold a separate business or officers meeting that requires only the Seneschal and Exchequer as well as any other officers required to make a quorum are in attendance if any voting is to take place. If reports are due they may be read aloud. Decisions regarding new officers, events the group may sponsor, new groups they may sponsor, items the group may purchase, etc, will be discussed and decided on.

At more general meetings additional activities happen including introducing new members, announcements on the results of the buisness or officers meeting, socialization, snacking, and Arts/Sciences activities commence.

A third type of meeting is the guild or household meeting, usually involving a particular activity and as varied as the number of guilds and households in the Kingdom.

The Barony of the Cleftlands, for example, holds its business meeting as a formal half hour part of the regular weekly group meeting (at which a fight practice, guild meetings, dancing, classes, socialization and/or other arts and sciences activities may occur) where other groups may hold a separate business meeting for officers and have their fighter practice and dance practice on different nights.
