Incipient
From MiddleWiki
A branch which is still in a stage of formation is termed incipient, or even "proto-incipient" during the very earliest stages of getting organized. Officers of such groups are deputies of an established sponsoring group, often a barony. When it is clear to the kingdom seneschal that the branch is likely to thrive, it is given a charter and recognized in court by the king and queen as an official territorial branch. This step also require approval by the Board of Directors of the SCA, Inc.
