Persona

Melanie de la Tour is an Anglo Saxon minor noblewoman (born c. 1125). While Melanie's family had engaged her to marry a local nobleman, she found his chin weak and visage unpleasing, so she chose to accompany her cousin on Crusade to the Holy Land instead. While she was on pilgrimage in Outremer she married, but they later amicably separated (he now lives with his mistress). With her newly found free time, Melanie supports the arts and other good works.
