History
Azemars moved to the Cleftlands from the Glorious Kingdom of Artemisia, where he held estates in both the Shire of Silver Keep and the Shire of Castelleone Nuovo. He has recently moved to his Third Kingdom, Æthelmearc.
Persona
Azemars Martel was born in a small manor not far from Limoges, in the tumultuous year of Our Lord MCCCXXV (1325).

Interests and SCA-related hobbies
Azemars has been known to pick up a sword in times of war, but is most devoted to the arts of peace. He is passionate about Heraldry, Costuming, Needlework and has a most lordly appetite on feast days, for which he has had to learn his way about the kitchens. He loves to teach and assist in research, and once served as Chatelaine for the Shire if Silver Keep.
Activities: Period Religion, Costuming, Herbalism, Embroidery, Cooking and I am very open to try everything once!
My research interests are: The Investiture Controversy, The Crusades, Monasticism, Scholasticism, The Avignon Papacy, Pilgrimage, Processions, and in art history, I study the concept of holy space in art, specifically in the gothic era cathedrals.
