MiddleWiki:Naming conventions

From MiddleWiki

This is a suggestion for naming conventions for MiddleWiki

Article Naming

  1. Only use capital letters for proper nouns. (i.e. earl marshal *not* Earl Marshal )
  2. Use the singular form of nouns as article titles. (i.e. peer *not* peers )
  3. Numbers should be reserved for years only. (AD is not necessary, BC would be)
  4. Don't use 'the' or 'a' in titles. (i.e. Middle Kingdom *not* the Middle Kingdom )
  5. in cases of gender specific titles, use the combination as the article (i.e. baron/baroness) and then create redirects to it from the single gender specific forms. (i.e. baron and baroness would each contain #REDIRECT [[baron/baroness]] )
