The Order of the Gaping Wound is an award given by the Crown to those who have been injured on the field of battle.

Rights and Privileges

Recipients of this award are called Companions of the Order of the Gaping Wound and may use the letters C.G.W. after their name and are titled Lord/Lady

The Award gave armigerous status.

History

The award was created by King Irial and Queen Morna (based on date of first recipients.)

The first recipients were Fuyuzuru Tadashi, Niel ap Daepaed Llyrr of Marlincourt, Randall Longsleeves - May 8, 1972.

This award was no longer issued after October 1975 as it was thought to encourage injury on the field.
