Crossbow

From MiddleWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

A bow that has been mounted to a bar cross-wise allowing the bow to be held drawn indefinitely while the archer aims (Recurves and Longbows can only be held fully drawn for a very short amount of time dependant on the strength of the archer.) A significant advance in technology, crossbows can shoot a higher poundage than other sorts of bows and require less training to use effectively. The only real disadvantage crossbows have over other sorts of bows is loading time.
