Armor inspection

The mandatory inspection of an armored combatant's armor and weapons before participating in armored combat. Inspections are conducted by marshals or MITs under the guidance of fully warranted marshals.

Technically speaking, armor inspections should happen before any fighting activity; but in reality, practices, demos and pick-up fights often skip this important step.

The purpose of an armor inspection is to spot any armor failures, i.e., straps that have broken, plates that have fallen off or shifted, or any other potentially dangerous element to a combatant's armor. Inspections most often turn up failures that the wearer is not aware of, underlining how important it is for all armored combatant to be inspected before fighting.

Note that while weapons are not expressly included in the description, they must also be inspected before use.
