Woods walk

About this shoot
Any target archery competition which involves walking through woods. Frequently involving different targets and unknown distances and other challenges (such as Friend/Foe shoots, limited number of arrows and timed shoots). Woods walks frequently take a long time and the archers involved usually do not know what the targets are going to be at the start of the competition.
Alternate Usage
This term is also used occasionally by marshalls to refer to an inspection of a woods battle site before fighters actually enter the woods.
