Women Reigning by Right of Arms

While it has long been permitted in the Society for women to be allowed to fight for their male Inspiration in Crown and Coronet tournaments, victory by them has been unusual enough to warrant making note of where it has happened.
This list originally made available via a post on the Facebook Inspirational Equality in the SCA.
- May 1981, Principality of the Mists (Kingdom of the West) - Princess Maythen Gervaise and Her Consort Prince William of Hoghton
- September 1987, Palatine Barony of the Far West - Baroness Trude Lacklandia and Her Consort Baron Wulfric Strongbow (only barony known to select B&B by right of arms)[1]
- 1988, Principality of Drachenwald (East Kingdom) - Princess Gwenllian Rhiannon of Dragonkeep and Her Consort Prince Stefan Wasniewski Ste'Kolm
- January 1991, Kingdom of Ansteorra - Queen Rowan Beatrice von Kampfer III and Her Consort King Hector Philip Martel III
- September 1996, Principality of Ealdormere (Kingdom of the Middle) - Princess Elizabeth Mortimer and Her Consort Menken Brechen
- January 1997, Principality of Oertha (Kingdom of the West) - Princess Viresse de Lighthaven and Her Consort Prince Astrin Straightarrow

Countess Trude Lacklandia of Atenveldt as the first woman authorized to fight in the SCA and the first female Knight of the SCA (March 1977). In addition to ruling as Baroness by right of arms of the Palatine Barony of the Far West in 1987 as listed above, she also ruled as Princess (consort) of the Principality of the Sun (now dissolved, Kingdom of Atenveldt) 3 times:
- November 1977, with Prince Christopher of Hoghton.
- December 1978, with Prince Denis of the Titans.
- May 1981, with Prince Denis of the Titans.

- [1] In the Middle Kingdom, Thorvald inn Grimmi, founding Baron of Northwoods was selected via a tournament. However, this practice was not continued over the life of the Kingdom.
