Need to confirm the founding of the Flame as a Barony, their wiki page says the founding Baron started in 1972, but OP and Book of Protocol has them becoming a Barony in December 1981 with the creation of Baroness Cordelia.

From Johnna Holloway: The word back from Jeri M Hughes is the following

"Bran checked, and according to the OP, Folo resigned as territorial baron on 2004-04-24. Jeri Matteson Hughes So agreement here in Caer Gwyn that it went on as a Shire soon after that."

Johnna on the history of Caer Gwyn vs. Wurm Wald:

"As far as I know. It dropped back to shire of WW and then became this new group which combined St Carol on the Moor and WW. Central downstate Illinois. We had talks in the mid 1980s about combining those groups but nothing came of it. It was maybe 45-50 miles between the two campuses of UIUC and EIU."

Based on a letter in Fenix's archives, from Richard of Alsace, Acting Kingdom Seneschal, dated June 11, 1974 regarding proof of Group Authorizations, it states: "Flame - 9/29/71 letter from Lady Diana Listmaker. This is one of the few groups whose reference seems to be not only the earliest possible but also definite official recognition."
