The Kingdom Social Media officer is a warranted deputy under the Kingdom Seneschal. The KSMO is responsible for all currently approved social media outlets for the Middle Kingdom. Local organizations are encouraged to have a local SMO who reports to the KSMO to assist in admining their local context.
Qualifications
Experience with social media in a business or non-profit context is extremely helpful. Additionally the KSMO and any Local SMO Deputies must have regular and consistent access to internet especially mobile internet. They should have a bias toward inclusion to ensure all aspects of the society are celebrated. It is helpful to understand the difference inherent in online communication in order to moderate softly. Additionally a deep love of the Society and the Middle Kingdom.
Duties
Responsibilities of the KSMO
- Admin on all Pages and Official Groups for the Middle Kingdom
- Create and enable Outward-Facing social media content
- Train and partner with local SMO's and officers across the Middle Kingdom
- Protect the Pages and Groups: Remove spam and disallowed topics, give guidance to users where needed and insure policy compliance
- Work with Crown, Seneschals and other required officers, respecting confidentiality
- Lead the MK SMO Facebook group for ongoing training and reporting
The work of the KSMO is supported by local SMO's who serve the same functions in their local context.
