Court herald

1. A herald who assists ceremonial heads of a branch in conducting their court. In practice, the herald does most of the talking, such as reading award scroll texts. In long courts, heralds will often work in shifts, either to save their voices or to give more heralds a chance to participate.


2. A herald whose principal interest is court activities and protocol.
