Burgundian

1. Someone or some thing from the Kingdom of Burgundy; a duchy of France which reached its height in the 15th century and disolved when the last Duke of Burgundy, Charles the Rash (or Charles the Bold as kinder historians often name him) died without an heir.

2. The dress worn at the height of the Kingdom of Burgundy which became popular throughout northern Europe. The noblewoman's gown of this time included fur trim, a train, a wide V neckline and a tall pointed headress which is modernly called a henin.
